Coinciding with the launch of the completion suggester, we've seen a very large decrease in the zero results rate for prefix search http://discovery.wmflabs.org/metrics/#failure_breakdown! In fact, the zero results rate for prefix search is now lower than that for full text search. Similarly, we've seen a decrease in the overall zero results rate KPI http://discovery.wmflabs.org/metrics/#kpi_zero_results. Yay!

Excellent work!!! Lets keep pushing to ... zero.

Looks good for non-automated prefix search!
Any ideas why full text 0RR is increasing?

Not right now. With Oliver's departure from the Foundation, Discovery is down to a single data analyst, so our capacity for analysis is more limited. I would like us to investigate this at some point, but practically speaking now is not that time.
Thanks, Dan

I filed T131196 https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T131196 to track this. As noted in the task, I doubt we'll get to it for a little while.
