Hello Admins,
As communicated earlier, we have put together a list of about 100 tools whose maintainers we propose to invite in the next round of testing.
This expanded list now includes tools written in languages other than Python.
You can see the list here[0]
The feedback and suggestions around custom and secret environment variable support[1] and package installation for buildservice[2] have all now been successfully rolled out to toolforge.
If there's no changes requested, the new invites will be sent on the 23rd of Jun.
Kindly reach out if you have any questions or feedback.
Thank you!

Hi,
two quick notes: * I'd like to see https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T265691 (automatically configure database credentials as envvars) done first, before inviting new people to try the service. * Could you share the message you're planning to send to the maintainers of those tools?
Taavi
Hi Taavi,
Thanks for the feedback.
You can find the draft here, see: https://etherpad.wikimedia.org/p/second-round#L105

Hello Taavi,
We'll pause the second round of invites and take the next two weeks to have T265691 https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T265691 implemented. The plan is to have it ready in two weeks so that we can remain within the revised timelines.

Hello everyone!
After coming back from vacations, I think we are ready to prepare for the second round. We have implemented the database credentials as environment variables and stabilized harbor a bit more for the extra user load in preparation. Here's the revised draft for the email with more details: https://etherpad.wikimedia.org/p/second-round#L107 The plan is to get some feedback today and tomorrow, then discuss in the toolforge workgroup meeting (see https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Portal:Toolforge/Admin/Workgroup) and decide there if sending the email then or addressing any other issues that might arise. See the specific task ( https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T335249) for more details/discussion.
If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to reply to this list, or directly to me.
Thanks a lot!
