Probably the simplest thing is to add one little sentence to the
beginning of the description - The wikipedia project encompasses many
languages and countries. This is the ENGLISH LANGUAGE version. For other
languages see: (and then a dropdown box with all the languages listed,
so that people can choose which one they want and get automatically
transferred to their chosen version.) 

I know that the languages are already listed at the top and bottom of
the page, but maybe this would make it more obvious that you had a free
choice?
