There's no specific consensus on such meta-comments
(however, you'll have to ask the WikiProject folks
about the "See WikiProject" ones).

In Wikipedia's early days, it was quite common to add
such comments. It now seems to be frowned upon as more
and more people use Wikipedia articles as references.
I usually move them to the talk page.
