I was using that as an example of a type of external link that is 
currently prohibited or discouraged. See [[Wikipedia:External 
links#Non-English language content]]. My overall point is that we don't 
simply allow or encourage all links that could in some way aid the 
reader to learn more about the subject. We have a number of restrictions 
on both external links and on sources. Those restrictions are not 
censorship, they don't disfigure the encyclopedia, and in fact they make 
it a better reference work.
