People disagree with Jimbo all the time, and unlike many others in
similar position, he usually feels compelled to answer questions and
deal with criticism directly, implementing compromises where they can
be found. But the issue wasn't really about his provenance, but the
limitations of his human powers to be aware and in charge of
everything - in this recent case, on matters of particular (but
important) policy and process. Is the community *not to be trusted
with certain policy changes? And is Jimbo therefore expected to take a
more direct of formalized role in this area?
