People always bring up that point. Tax deductibility makes it cheaper
to donate, that's all. Baring some very unusual tax incentives, there
is no way to profit by making a charitable donation. If I pay 40% tax,
I can donate £100 to charity and it will only cost me £60. There will
(almost) always be a positive cost, though, just a smaller one.
