my main account is on fr.wp (let's call it A),

unfortunatelly,
test.wikipedia.org tells me that my home account is on sv.wp
so I checked and indeed there is someone with account A on sv.wp which has
ten times more edit than me (I've around 700 and he has several thousands)
and which registered a few months earlier than me (back in 2004).
Well, if I understand correctly, I'm going to loose my account A on fr.wp
and
mediawiki.org in a few weeks.
Sorry to hear that. :(
That's not a problem at all, I'm fine with
that ;-)
And at least now you know. :)
Last thing : I also have an other account B on fr.wp
that I've used only
once for now (1 contribution on the user page).
Here is my question :
Is it possible that instead of proposing me to change my user name, the SUL
system proposes me to "transfer" my A contributions to another acount (there
I would specify B) and then to SUL-merge my account B ? I'm pretty sure this
is technically possible, but is it something you "could plan" or "have
the
right" to do ? (please :-) )
Basically how this would work would be to rename all your A accounts to
B, then do the global merge under the B name.
At the moment that's not all integrated, but you could get your existing
A accounts renamed to B now through the existing bureaucrat-run
Special:RenameUser system. In theory there should be request queue pages
somewhere...
On en.wikipedia it's
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Changing_username
there are some links there to other languages.
