It's not implemented.
First of all, we don't have any kind of proper ACL stuff that you
could extend so you'll have to create a new table (or extend a current
one), the former is easier, create something like page_length that
contains three fields, length_ns, length_title and length_length which
hold the namespace (int), title (varchar) and length you want to allow
on the page. Then make an interface for that, your best bet would be
just making a new tab in monobook (length configuration) that allows
your administrators to configure the length of a page and then check
if a new page meets those requirements on save ( see EditPage.php ).

This makes it very clear, thank you for the help!
Hoi,
You may know that we are programming a database specifically for
Wiktionary. It goes by the name of "Ultimate Wiktionary". We hope to
have it operational at the end of summer.
For more information:
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_Wiktionary and the category
Wiktionary on Meta.
I fail to understand why you want to restrict the length of dictionary
entries. When people make them too long it is up to other editors to
make them smaller. When you give an entry an arbitrary size, the
infomation may not be complete.
Thanks,
GerardM
Thanks for the news on Ultimate Wikitionary, this should be very useful
for our dictionary. Also, I understand what you mean about the editing
process of the Wiki. This feature was a suggestion from my supervisor
but I'm still not sure that it would be necessary.
