There are ways to deal with ads and communists. A dynamic website
such as Wikipedia can serve ads selectively, only to readers who use
MSIE and who are not logged in. The "communists" (who run open source
browsers) will never notice that the ads exist, and will happily
continue to contribute to the contents. Of course this is evil, but
it keeps them quiet.
This is not a recommendation, only experience.
