Also, if it's any help to mention....
I have been very happy with this SUL tool, which I have used to confirm
user names, edit counts, and which areas of Wikimedia / Wikipedia new and
experienced editors are editing. I set up a VLOOKUP that I use to confirm
user names, and use the user ID as the control / unique identifier
(i.e., User ID : 27454434).

example:

I set this up for the WM NYC 2015 Metrics document, as the first step for
gathering metrics is gathering names of users who are participating in
editathons.
And yes, I am ashamed how low my Wikidata edit count is. :-)

p.s. Also notice there's another tool -- for unified accounts only:

While this isn't something Wikimetrics can do, there are other tools to
look at pageviews of pages improved by a cohort. GLAMorous 2
<http://tools.wmflabs.org/glamtools/glamorous/> [1] calculates the number
of pages improved by media uploaded and the pageviews of those pages by
category, pagepile, or user.
What do you mean by "thumbnail views" and how does that differ from
pageviews?
I also feel compelled to add that just as viewership is a facet of impact,
pageviews on wiki projects is a facet of viewership. Who knows how much
content and how many curricula have been enriched with our freely licensed
pictures of cuttlefish or the dome of Santa Maria del Fiore? (Seriously,
if anyone is looking at answering questions like these, I would love to
hear about it!)
Hope that helps--
Cheers,
Amanda
