They count as pages created, but not in the main namespace (ns 0). Does global metrics
differentiate between main namespace and non-main namespace pages?

Pine, I think file uploads create a file description page which should get counted by the
Pages Created metric. I believe others have used this on wikimetrics in this way. It
would be easy to test: make a cohort of just one person who you know uploaded some files
and run that metric for that person for the timespan when they created the files. If it
works as you expect, report back. There should be some way easy way for our community to
count those uploads.

Hi Wikimetricians,
1. Does Wikimetrics count files uploaded to Commons as new pages?
2. Does Wikimetrics count new versions of files that are uploaded to Commons over old
versions as edits?
3. Is there an automated way to see how many pageviews and thumbnail views happened to
pages and Commons files after those pages and Commons files were touched by editors who
are noted in a Wikimetrics report? Viewership is one way of measuring impact, and I think
it would be interesting to measure the impact of a Wikimetrics cohort in this way.
Thanks!
Pine
