Just came across this:
Perhaps, this needs to be taken a bit seriously?
User: Soviet King announced retirement today
This IP Address 81.178.38.169 has openly threatened my family through
a scathing letter and even wrote to my school for writing an honest
message on his talk page, believing it was harassing him. Yasht, I
will agree at this stage it did get out of hand, because he was using
language not appropriate and he made something big out of threatening
to complain to JasperDeng. I just spoke for him, and then this threats
against my school and family? Forget it, I can't work under an
environment here. To people, I have been retiring weekly because I
don't feel the need to work, but then I keep coming back, Wikipedia
was hard to give up. Now I don't want to come back because of what one
IP address has done.
From the talk page history:

This is the text of the email (redacted in places) sent to your school
principal. No threats were made against you, your family or your
colleague Jasper Deng. The user told you quite plainly that he wasn't
interested in dealing with this within Wikipedia or with you. He
emailed your principal because you are young and plainly vulnerably,
and incidentally to protect the reputation of your school, which he
knows to be a fine one.

Attention of the school Principal please
Hello. My name is William Boyd, [further information redacted].
I have been harrassed on Wikipedia by one of your students, [full
name redacted], who has the monniker "Soviet King" below [content not
repeated]. I am the the IP 81.178.38.169 and he is harrassing me on my
static IP user page i.e. essentially not within Wikipedia but on the
broader internet. I don't know how he found me or in fact know (nor
care) what his issues are. IP users don't have Wikipedia account and
are therefore not bound by its conditions and terms of acceptance.
This is well understood.
Of course being harrassed on Wikipedia is no big deal but on this
scale and quite so naively is unusual.
Can I suggest it might be wise to have a quite word with young
[first name of student redacted] to warn him about getting involved in
these kinds of situations.
Been more than 20 years since I was last in Bangkok, coming in
from a trek in Nepal. I spent two months on Koh Phi Phi learning
Russian!
Please do not give [first name redacted] my email address,
although you can repeat my name because it is on my user page. Thank
you.
Kind regards,
William Boyd

Don't you think this is a rather serious issue?
