*User:محمد شعیب
<https://ur.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D8%B5%D8%A7%D8%B1%D9%81:%D9%85%D8%AD%D9%85%D…>*
is primarily an Urdu Wikipedia editor, who has been *anonymously *editing
since August 2012. Though the user has been reading Wikipedia since 2005,
only in 2012 he started editing when he found some factual errors in an
Urdu article. He counts almost 40,000 global contributions along with being
a bureaucrat and sysop of Urdu Wikipedia.
The user envisions to prosper and build a unique rich online source of free
knowledge in Urdu, and feels that Wikipedia is the way for it. He also
contributes to Wikidata, Arabic and English Wikipedia every now and then.
He says that Wikidata is a great initiative, that if used to its full
potential, make the lives of editors easy. His message to newcomers is; "I
would welcome them to world of free knowledge, and tell them to continue
your contributions, it would be pride for you and your generations as well".

Hello Community,
Free Software Foundation Tamil Nadu (FSFTN) is an organisation working
towards the spreading of the use and awareness of Free (as in freedom)
software and technologies throughout the State. The entirely
volunteer-run organisation comprises people from all walks of life,
including academics, students, IT professionals and developers.
FSFTN regularly conducts workshops on Linux-based technology, free and
open source programming languages, open hardware and other related
topics across the State. One of its major annual events is Software
Freedom Day (SFD). On the occasion of SFD, stalls are put up
explaining what free software is, how to learn and use cutting-edge
technology and the possibilities in the future.
This year FSFTN is organising SFD in Chennai on Oct 8th 2017 at
Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology, Chennai. We from
FSFTN request all the GLUGs, Tech Communities, Free Software
Communities and Volunteer driven communities like Mozilla, Wikipedia,
etc. to be part of this event and contribute by Exhibiting Stalls or
Providing your valuable presence for the event on that day. We request
you to be a part of the event and together we could spread the essence
of Software Freedom to the students and the general public.
Regards,

Dear All,
On blissful day of 02 October 2017, Gujarati Wikisource has completed digitization of 100 books. The Journey had begun with a small book "Rachantmak Kaaryakram" written by Mahatma Gandhi and co-incidentally on his Birth day the 100th mile stone was achieved. The first book was started on 18-03-2012 and within period of 5 and half years feat of 100 books were reached by co-operative contribution of community members.
The collection of book on Gujarati Source includes variety of books like Plays, Novels, Short stories, Poetry collection, Autobiography, History etc.
One name needs a special mention on this occasion who has a lion's share in contributions. Wikipedian Mr. Ashok Vaishanv from Ahmedabad is senior citizen, and has contributed in almost all projects regularly & tirelessly. His energy provides inspiration to others to contribute More.
On this occasion we wish to say a Big "THANK YOU" to all the contributors, technical supporters, literature providers etc. for their direct and indirect contribution to the project with out whom this day would not have come so early.
Thank you,
Sushant Savla
