Well, it seems we have two possible experienced editors - weekends
only, I believe. It might be enough to pull off something but the
conference actually kicks off on a Wednesday for 5 days, so it might
not exactly work.
If Wikimedia Ireland is to take off, we probably need to meet up and
it seems difficult to get together from across the country for a
meet-up that might go nowhere. Do any of you use Google+? Or Google
voice and video chat? These might be some options to bring us closer
together. Obviously our work and personal lives are very demanding of
our time so if we are committed to it, we might need a different tack.
I'm not sure I can express my motivation for being part of this - in
summary I suppose I just really respect Wikimedia and it's goals.
Perhaps we need a specific project to work on or some set goals to
achieve. What could a Wikimedia Ireland do for us as individuals and
what can we do for it?
Conor.

Conor,
I've been offline WRT Wikimedia, etc. for a couple of months owing to
other activities and commitments. Although Cork based, I would be happy to
help out at a drop in session for 'how-to-edit' or 'Ask a Wikimedian' if
one
was to go ahead (at a weekend).
Let me know if this goes ahead or if you need any help.
Any progress on this? Is anyone interested on working on this?
Asaf
