Hi everyone! I'm organizing an editathon at the Oakland Public Library on Friday June
26th - the session is primarily aimed at members of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section
of the American Library Association who will be meeting in Oakland Tuesday-Friday.

I know what you are thinking: "But Merrilee, doesn't this conflict with an
editathon, for librarians, in San Francisco the very same day?" Well, yes, it does.
This is a follow on to an event we organized sort of last minute as part of the RBMS
meeting last year in Las Vegas, and the conference organizers are encouraging about this
becoming a regular part of the conference (yay!), so this has been planned for months.
And Jake and I talked about the overlap, and decided to proceed along on our separate
paths. So, if there are Wikipedians who are perhaps East Bay located or interested hanging
out with the super cool and motivated rare book and archives crowd, I could really,
really use your help with this one.
Many thanks!
Merrilee
