We (the VE team, and David Chan in particular) are working on a change that
should make support for input method editors (IMEs) a lot better. This
includes Japanese input, but also Chinese, Indic languages, and many others.
We're aiming for this code to be ready by Wikimania, so we can get people
to test it at the conference. So if you use an IME to edit in your language
and it doesn't work right in VisualEditor, come see us at Wikimania. If you
can show us the problem in person, it's much easier for us to figure out
what's going wrong and fix it.
