Hi Patricio,
What a generous offer and I am surprised no one has responded yet! One
thing that would be great to have for a "Wiki takes your city" is some way
of easily generating a walking tour from a monuments list (assuming that
the list is filled with geo-data, which they are in the Netherlands). This
would be great to have for the various WLM projects, but it would also be
useful for people interested in monuments wherever they are, since the
monuments lists generally include some summary information and in the case
of the more important monuments, links to full-fledged Wikipedia articles.
I suppose if you successfully make something that is robust enough, it
could be used to illustrate Wikipedia articles about architects, or maybe
even about public transport lines.

Hi everybody,
I'm Patricio Molina (a.k.a. [[User:Mahadeva]]), Deputy Treasurer of
Wikimedia Argentina. It's a pleasure being part of this list.
In order to finish my studies in Systems Analysis, I have to make a
proyect using the RUP framework[0] or Agile[1], and with my fellow
group members we were thinking about doing something useful for the
Wikimedia movement. We have 14~16 weeks/iterations to complete at
least the first two phases ("Inception" and "Elaboration"),
producing
all the documentation needed for its construction and deployment. All
the documentation will be published under a Creative Commons license
By-SA.
Because I'm particularly interested in WLM, we want to know if there's
something we can do related to this activity. Of course, this should
be related to software development (i.e.: tools for metadata, events
and volunteer organization, etcetera). Do you have something in mind?
Best,
Patricio
