Last I heard, being fingerprinted by the State of
California (or,
indeed, any American state) was a Bad Thing, and certainly didn't
entitle you to special status (well, unless you consider free use of a
taxi at certain times, and if you're really lucky, free room and board
for consecutive lifetimes, to be "special status").
In certain US states, I believe a few professions, such as teaching or
lawyering, require you to get fingerprinted. So nothing particularly
bad there, but certainly nothing to brag about.
