Some people are demanding the wrong thing, I'm not sure which thing
you're referring to, though.
I think we can
safely say that Durova got this pretty spectacularly wrong, so
assuming in the face of multiple calls of "not me, guv" that she was
right to interpret whatever responses she got, in the way she did,
is probably a mistake.
Maybe. On the other hand, if she misinterpreted the responses she
got, for the her and the responder not to get together and agree to
come clean and explain what happened is an even bigger mistake.
