Bravo, bravo! Thank you, John.
Very interesting guide. I am historian and digital humanist in
training, reading everything I find about it. One of my interests is how
to make projects linked to and able to share its content in the
Wikimedia projects. And, of course, to use software as MediaWiki.
I'm pending of a project where we want to organize and publish data
about cultural heritage. My current idea is to work with a CSV file to
then link it in a Semantic MediaWiki with the External Data extension. I
thought to work first in the CSV because it could be more comfortable to
make the scheme that I need for each kind of elements; and because a CSV
could be useful in itself.
According to I read in your page, RDF is better if we want to import
data to Wikidata so, could I import the data generated in Semantic
MediaWiki with a RDF exported from it?
I'm learning about it so, if you have to explain me some thing that seem
obvious, explain me, I will be grateful!
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Iván

Hi all
I'm putting together a page on Wikidata that provides an overview of
open data, information on database rights and best practices for
publishing open data. I often meet people from organisations who produce
data and want it to be reused but have a lower level of data literacy
and don't know where to start.
Please take a look and see what is missing, feel free to braindump, I
can tidy things up :)
