Malayalam Wikipedia has been well supported by the state IT mission atleast
for a few years now. Government of Kerala even donated the contents of its
own encyclopedia project that has been running since 1961 (first volume
published in 1972). Among many collaborative efforts, Malayalam wikimedia
community's first CD project was fully funded by the government and the CDs
were chosen to be sent to state schools as well. Malayalam wikimedians had
helped the state IT mission to start School
Wiki.<http://www.schoolwiki.in/index.php/%E0%B4%AA%E0%B5%8D%E0%B4%B0%E0%B4%A7%E0%B4%BE%E0%B4%A8_%E0%B4%A4%E0%B4%BE%E0%B4%B3%E0%B5%8D%E2%80%8D>
Having state department's support has helped the project to a good extent.

Jyothis.

Dear all,
my name is Ilektra Pavlaki and I am currently working on my master thesis
for the University of Amsterdam. For the past 5 months I have been following
the campaign for the development of the Greek-language Wikipedia which is
supported by the Ministry of Education. I would like to ask if you have
heard of any other Wikipedia project that has the support of a state agency.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Ilektra
