Due to the limitations of JSP, and the fact I cannot
figure out how to use
it, I have written my own Java plugin-based webserver. I am wondering what
the rules are on binding to ports, what ports/port ranges are allowed to be
bound to, and where/if I have to get permission?
You can bind every port you like, except 0-1024 (that's a security-decision by
linux) and any other port, that allready used.
If you like, we can forward a apache-url to your webserver.
Please remember that you are responsible for every software, you use.
Thanks,
Matt
Sincerly,
