Is anyone else having problems where login() fails via SxWiki? I've used it to update a user page for about a year now, and for the first time, it's failing.

BTW, here's an extremely basic working prototype if anyone's curious
(doesn't work in Explorer due to lack of SVG support):

I would love to collaborate on this if anyone else is interested (and knows
a fair bit about SVG).

Hi,
does anyone know if there are changes to the wikimedia servers? I always
got article fulltext using
$fulltext =
get_url_contents("http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nate_Robinson&action=raw");
Since yesterday this doesn't work and I get a 403. Using cURL this works
again, but it's annoying to change all scripts...
Sincerelly,

Hello all,
because of an kernel-update, I will reboot nightshade and cassini tonight
(~0:30 o'clock UTC). The downtime should be 5 minutes, but it can expand up to
30min.
The process can be follow on [1].
Sincerly,
DaB.

I'm sorry to say this, but I chose not to use jira as last time I did that I was completely ignored for two weeks and received no assistance whatsoever. I'll try it again with the next problem.

All of my tools are broken, and I can't even access phpMyAdmin or mysql on the command line due to:
User 'jason' has exceeded the 'max_user_connections' resource (current value: 15)
This is odd since I've introduced no new tools and actually have had to shut down several that stopped working with last month's changes. Is anyone else seeing this?

Wikimedia Deutschland contracted River Tarnell to look after the Toolserver,
starting February 1. As you probably know, River has been an integral part of
the Toolserver team from the very beginning, and has done a great job as a
volunteer. However, when doing system administration in your spare time, the
more annoying jobs tend to be left – which may lead to unpleasantness or even
downtime every now and then. A fixed number of hours dedicated to the toolserver
and a protocol for emergency situations will now help us to get the Toolserver’s
availability to at least 99%.
Contracting a payed admin should also benefit the other Toolserver
administrators, as they can now rely on River to look after the every day
operations and to coordinate further administration work. Volunteer work will of
course remain an essential component in the operation of the Toolserver, as is
the case with all Wikimedia projects.
Wikimedia Deutschland wants to thank everyone who works on the toolserver, all
admins and users, for their great contributions. We look forward to a future of
even greater success of the Tooserver project!

HI all
Danny_B suggested to mark chapter wikis with a special value in the family
field, so i did. nl.wikimedia.org etc is now tagged with "chapter" instead of
"wikimedia". If you use a list of fiamilies somehwere, add "chapter" to it.

If somebody is interested, the DRAFT can be found under [1]. I updated it
today and added some stuff from the discussion here. I'm of corse interested
in response (and fixing of my bad english), but I can't guarantee that it will
ever accept by the WMDE.

Hello,
I notice a recent clarification of the rules[1], however this was not
mentioned on this list, nor toolserver-announce-l. Would an admin mind
saying why this was necessary?
Perhaps relevant that the rules can and do change at a time when there's
discussion of changing them with respect to licensing source code :)
