Yikes, it's scary how many things in our sites folks get confused by... it surprises
me every time I see one of these videos. Also shows that much of UI experience is in the
details, not so much in the bigger picture...
What I liked was that the small 'dock bounce' made one of the users notice that
there was 'something happening' there.
Perhaps we can do the bounce animation again if people hover the panel ? so don't
totally move it up, just extend the page by the bounce height when people open the page, a
bit similar to the left/right buttons ?

Hi all,
I wanted to share the results of our latest round of usability testing with the current
version of the Media Viewer. As a really quick summary we can say that the basic design
concept and the way we present information and controls seem to work, while some aspects
such as the connection with Commons info page and license details need more clarity.
To get more details check the notes at
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Multimedia/Media_Viewer/Usability_testing
The idea is to keep testing periodically as new features are added to the Media Viewer
and new prototypes are built for future features.
Feel free to circulate the participation form link to those users that may be interested
in testing new multimedia features.
thanks
