I finally got around to updating ici (map of nearby Wikipedia
articles) to use the GeoData extension rather than the separate
Geonames service:

This was a nice change not only for accuracy/currency of information,
but because it allowed me to display different markers for articles
that need copy-editing and/or citations, as well as those that need
images (which it displayed previously). Suggestions for different
templates to recognize [2] and mark on the map are welcome, as are any
other suggestions.
