Hi,
is there a possibility to show a list of pages with recent changes with
the extension "DynamicPageList (Wikimedia)"?
After reading the documentation and some stuff about this extension, I
have the impression that only pages which are categorized can be
recognized by this extension.
The output of this extension is better than the view I can get with
{{Special:RecentChanges}}...
Thanks for any hint,
Christian
Hi everyone,
I'm the author of the Wikilog MediaWiki extension. Today, a user
contacted me about an error that MediaWiki is reporting concerning the
extension:
Detected bug in an extension! Hook WikilogHooks::UnknownAction
failed to return a value; should return true to continue hook
processing or false to abort.
Backtrace:
#0 ...\includes\Wiki.php(526): wfRunHooks('UnknownAction',
Array)
#1 ...\includes\Wiki.php(63): MediaWiki->performAction(Object(
OutputPage), Object(WikilogMainPage), Object(Title),
Object(User), Object(WebRequest))
#2 ...\index.php(116): MediaWiki->initialize(Object(Title),
Object(WikilogMainPage), Object(OutputPage),
Object(User), Object(WebRequest))
#3 {main}
The error message seems really obvious, except that there should be no
way for the reported function to finish without returning a value. You
may check it near the bottom at this address:
http://svn.juliano.info/svn/mediawiki/extensions/Wikilog/tags/0.7.2/Wikilog…
static function UnknownAction( $action, &$article ) {
if ( $action == 'wikilog' &&
$article instanceof WikilogCustomAction ) {
$article->wikilog();
return false;
}
return true;
}
I can't see any way that this function would not return either true or
false. Needless to say, I can't reproduce this behavior on my own
installation.
Does anyone have experienced something similar, or have any idea that
could enlighten the situation?
The user's versions:
WinXP with IIS 5.
MediaWiki 1.15.1
PHP 5.3.0 (cgi-fcgi)
MySQL 5.1.37-community
Wikilog 0.7.2, no other extensions
Regards,
Juliano.

MW shows: "Couldn't find Turck MMCache, eAccelerator, APC or XCache;

Yes, I did restart httpd, no joy.
There are number of occurrences of this issue in the IRC channel logs, but
unfortunately the answers are difficult to find (if there are any).
Google wasn't all that helpful just yet, so I figure to give this a shot.
If anyone has any ideas at all, I would much appreciate some feedback.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Peter
Hey everyone,
I have a proxy from one machine - first.domain.com/site serving a wiki
on a second machine - second.domain.com/wiki. The wiki serves
perfectly untill a user logs in and then the /site is dropped and the
wiki does not display. Has anybody come across this before? I've
searched about and it appears to be a common problem but I can't find
a solution.
Any help is very appreciated.

In my own special page, I've made a custom query (e.g., DELETE * from table).
I want to display an HTML link, which when clicked by the user viewing that page executes that SQL query. How can I do that?
I have been using MW 1.6.5 and PhP 5.2.3 for some time and it works fine.
I just installed PhP 5.2.10 and my wiki pages are totally unrecognizable. Each page has many boxes and letters. See the following for example:
Does anybody know why? Thanks!!!!

Greetings all,
Are there dev shops or freelancers with great reputations who work primarily
on the MediaWiki platform? If so, can anyone suggest some?
I need a resource because my parent company has a strong desire to create a
Healthcare based wiki with extra features.
Thanks,
Marcus Whitney

Posting to the list.
Before posting to this list, please read the MediaWiki FAQ[10]. Many common
questions are answered here. You may also search the list archives to see if
your question has been asked before.
Please try to ask your question in a way that enables people to answer you.
Provide all relevant details, explain your problem clearly, etc. You may
wish to read [13], which explains how to ask questions well.
To post to the list, send mail to <mediawiki-l(a)lists.wikimedia.org>. This is a
public list, so you should not include confidential information in mails you
send.
When replying to an existing thread, use the "Reply" or "Followup" feature of
your mail client, so that clients that understand threading can sort your
message properly. When quoting other messages, please use the "inline" quoting
style[11], for clarity.
When creating a new thread, do not reply to an existing message and change the
subject. This will confuse peoples' mail readers, and will result in fewer
people reading your mail. Instead, compose a new message for your post.
Messages posted to the list have the "Reply-To" header set to the mailing list,
which means that by default, replies will go to the entire list. If you are
posting a reply which is only interesting to the original poster, and not the
list in general, you should change the reply to only go to that person. This
avoids cluttering the list with irrelevant traffic.

Hi everyone,
I'd like to make a custom search box for our wiki that will do a
'contains' search. I have tested using the mediawiki API and that
gives a 'begins with' search. The format is just what I need, but how
to do a 'contains' search? - using API or some other method.
