Is there a way to delete or hide old General_disclaimer pages without
having to edit the SQL database directly? Since this is a legal page,
it seems best to not have older revisions visable.

I have written a mediawiki extension for 1.4.0 that returns text that
contains wikitext. For example it contains tags like [[article title]].
The problem I am facing is that the wikitext is not being interpreted
but is being displayed 'as-is', i.e. as [[article title]] and not as a
link to an article.
What is the correct way to get this text parsed so that wikitext is
rendered properly?
Thanks,

Hello,
I'm trying to both upgrade our MediaWiki 1.1.0 to the
latest stable release, and migrate from a Windows box
to a Linux box.
My plan was to install 1.1.0 on the new machine,
import the data, then do the upgrade there. The 1.1.0
install.php is not working on the new machine, but I
noticed it is running PHP5.
Does anyone know if MediaWiki 1.1.0 is compatible with
PHP5?
Thanks for your help!

Brion,
Thanks for your response. I do seem to have a page called
MediaWiki:Monobook.css, but I'm not using the monobook skin. When I tried
the names of other skins (e.g. Nostalgia.css) no page was found (we're
using the standard skin). Is this something specific to monobook? How do I
create a page for a different skin? Isn't there a way to add styles that
apply to *all* skins without changing the common.css file directly? What
am I missing?
Cheers,
Matt

Hi,
I have a user who forgot their login password and they never entered an
email address for the account. How can I either reset /change their
password and/or set their email address, so the Wiki can prompt them for
a new one?
Thanks,
Chuck

Hello,
what are the possibilities to create a static complete HTML (or PDF)
version of a MediaWiki?
Is wiki2static the only software available for that?

Bernhard
