Hello everyone,
the Wiki Release Team invites you to get involved in a much needed effort to build a
separate entity that cares about the third party use of MediaWiki. We ask for your

Good morning Markus,
I've subscribed to your list; I won't be able to attend Wikimania
London--I'm on the other side of the pond.
I spent the weekend upgrading an internal wiki to 1.23--it was the
most painful MW upgrade I've had in a long while owing to some of
my plugins migrating to composer.
I suspect my use of MW is typical of an enterprise user--I maintain
a library of plugins, a few patches, and need to integrate with an
unfortunate variety of vendor tools. I've frankly enjoyed the
stepwise infrastructure improvements I've seeing from the MW team.
I wish you the best of luck. Much as I've watched the grumbling
from this end of the userbase, these are big shoes to fill.
