I think at least, say,

All this needs is someone to volunteer to maintain it -- presumably a
Chinese speaker -- and be given commit access. Shinjiman already has
commit access and does some Mandarin localization (although more
Cantonese than Mandarin, I think), so perhaps he would be willing.
Otherwise just find someone (say, you?) who's willing to put in the
time, and have them ask for commit access so they can keep the main
copy in the software updated.

Hello,
I think the point is not who should maintain these conversion tables
in mediawiki, rather, the data is already self maintained at, such as:
http://zh.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=MediaWiki:Conversiontable/zh-
hk&action=history
i think the build script under ztable should include auto downloading
the tables from
http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Conversiontable/zh-hk etc, just
like the build script currently download various sources and auto
transform them to make the zhconversion.php.
howard.
My opinion on the Chinese conversion system is, the local conversion (zh-cn/zh-
hk/zh-sg/zh-tw et al) is not the primary objective to maintaining for the
conversion table. However the most important point to maintaining the
conversion table is to dealing of the problematic conversions on the
ZhConversion.php file.
