It's anecdotal, because it's not controlled. Something does not become statistical evidence just because the numbers are big. It must be statistically analyzed with respect to whatever you're gathering evidence for, which requires some kind of baseline to compare it to.
Really, no. It's long since been scientifically tested and proven that people who keep their hands on the keyboard can accomplish tasks much faster than those who have to move them to the mouse.
Ever heard of keyboard shortcuts?
