"Reasonable" amount depends on your POV.

I've heard of the Monty Python similarity (rather than the difference).  
They're both fucking close to water.

For Canadians, whom Pierre Berton defined as people who "can make love 
in a canoe", drinking American beer would likely not have any effect on 
that ability.
