Just be aware that HTML mail often looks *like crap*.

Rendering between different e-mail readers is very inconsistent, and
security options and other limitations may often give you broken
illegible images, etc.

If you'd like to give a bad impression of Wikimedia, then please use
HTML mail. ;)
