Well, neither image comes from their website; the images there are 
significantly smaller. They were likely scanned from books, but neither 
was listed with source information. Obviously the nearly 400-year-old 
originals are going to be out of copyright, but the scans are from 
reproductions, which may have a valid copyright even if it's 
non-creative, depending on applicable law. <IANAL/>


This was uploaded by Isis, who has since left the project and asked that 
most traces of her presence be erased.


This was uploaded by Uri, who seems to be still around. I've left a note 
on his talk page.

Both have uploaded other images from that era without attribution.
