[Wikipedia-l] User identities in Diff'ing

This has been a pet peeve for a while, but is there a reason why the
Users are not listed when a "diff" between versions is displayed?  

     "Revision as of 06:51, 22 Sep 2003"
     "Current revision"

I constantly find myself going to edit history after hitting "cur" just
to find out who did what.  It would be nice to have it all on one
screen, such as:
     "Revision as of 06:51, 22 Sep 2003 (User:Cabalamat)"
     "Current revision (User:Fuzheado)"
