It looks very cryptic to me; don't invent yet another markup language!
Please, go for proper SGML based on the so called 'Reference Concreate
Syntax':

    <CountryFactBox>
    <Flag>usa.png
    <Motto>In God We Trust
    <Capital>Washington D.C.
    ...
    [empty line]

The [empty line] will end the block.
