Yes, but if we don't know what the range of opinions is, it'll be rather
difficult to say whether there's a consensus. A 'vote' is useful as a
straw poll for that, no?

Oui, mais si personne ne sais quelle et la distribution des opinions, ce
serait très difficile à dire si existe un consensus. Pour ça, le 'vote'
est utile, non?
