To be honest, it's the part I like the least. I believe that the other part
of your proposal probably already covers 90% of the cases where you would
like a shortcut for a namspace, and it is easy to implement it in an
efficient way. The #base idea is a bit harder to implement and would add
some complexity to the parser which is at the moment already far too slow,
big and complicated, and also still has a lot of bugs. After we have gotten
the parser into shape, maybe then we can start thinking about adding such
features, but even then I would try to keep the code as efficient and simple
as possible.
