Chair, Wikimedia UK v2.0
I've already had someone from Chapters ctte point out to me that certain
things cannot be done by 'the new team' until the new body is legal and
above board and has a contract with the Foundation (eg. join the internal
wiki and mailling list). Saying "Wikimedia UK" is one of those things
(though yay and we know what you mean)
As with the first time around, you'll need to use your 'working name'
(WIN?) for the time being and not imply you are an authorised part of the
Wikimedia 'empire'.
I didn't say "Wikimedia UK", I said specifically "Wikimedia UK
v2.0",
i.e. the name used on the meta page to describe our effort to form a new
chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation in the United Kingdom. I would use
our working name, once we agree on one.......
Technically, we're not Wikimedia UK v2.0 until we officially replace
v1.0 as the official UK chapter. The name we use on meta is somewhat
questionable, but I doubt anyone cares about details like that.
Calling yourself "Chair, Wikimedia UK v2.0" is probably taking things
too far, though. How about "Chair, proposed Wikimedia UK v2.0"?
