I had talked about Camara in a different thread; And I didn't want to respond to talk about it here again so as to minimize confusion; but you raised an issue that I must respond to:

I know of Camara because their hub was located in my former high school in Mombasa. AFAIK, they initially had an (empty) office in Nairobi, since most of them insisted on staying in Mombasa. [citation needed] 

Your proposed visit will be in August, and that will be Ramadan. Mombasa, being mostly Islamic, means that during that month people work less. What I'm trying to say here is that since the beginning, Camara folks did not want to come to Nairobi, and I wouldn't expect them to agree to travel during Ramadhan.

I think we stand a better chance if we go to Mombasa. I am aware that there is relatively low or no Wikimedia activity in Mombasa. But that is the very essence of our chapter: to increase awareness and participation of Wikimedia in Kenya. If we focus only on Nairobi, then I honestly feel we are failing in our mission. Maybe all these other folks need is a push or a spark.

Note that Camara is represented in Kenya, in Mombasa:http://kenya.camara.ie/


Perhaps WMKE can help Camara expand the Kenya operation?  Perhaps, likewise, Camara can support and help WMKE?  Please take some time to look into this.  
Could we maybe reach out to them and see if we can get them to meet us in Nairobi during my upcoming visit?

yes, Khan is something that is widely distributed in the same open education resources community that our Offline Wikipedia is very popular in! There are some offline projects that already package it together with our resources along with others, including Camara[1] and the RACHEL education portal.




It would be awesome to figure out ways to add links (for example, at the top of a page in italics) to specific articles within the offline Wikipedia that sync to a complementary video lesson, imho :)
