Hoi,
One really nice development is the continued improvements of the
UploadWizard. This software is available and functional at Wikimedia Commons
and makes it much easier to upload pictures to Commons.

One of the recent developments is that they are registering to what extend
the wizard is used in different languages. However for these statistics to
be useful, this extension needs to be localised in your language. As always
the localisation can be done at translatewiki.net ...
