Srikanth,
I came across Elgg [1] An open source social networking engine. I have tried
it out sometime back and found it interesting. Recently I noticed it has a
Mediawiki plugin [2] [3].
It might be worthwhile to test it out with a mediawiki installation. If it
is useful, we could explore further.. wikimedia.in? Just thinking aloud.
