If you're using Gmail already then I'd recommend avoiding the digest
and getting individual messages. As an alternative that still keeps
your inbox uncluttered, you can set it up to filter all messages from
the list, tag them and skip the inbox. If you click "show details" at
the top of the message and then "filter messages from this mailing
list" you can just follow the steps from there.
