[Wikimediaau-l] Melbourne Wikimania 2010 Bid

I recall some discussion a few months ago regarding a Melbourne bid for
Wikimania 2010.

I'd just like to know, has there been any further steps taken towards this?
Has someone from local Melbourne taken steps to contact parties such as the
venue and potential sponsors to find out more information and pricing?
