Hoi,
PersonA did not question either importance or authority, he questioned
personB's capability. After pointing out that personB has a track record
of accomplishments, it makes sense to ask whether personA knows what he
is talking about. It makes as much sense to ask what accomplishments
personA has as this might indicate first hand experience.
