I don't understand why we are comparing this to
advertising. This is nothing like any sort of of
internet advertising I have seen. Besides the fact
that the site notice is not developed by the companies
marketing team, the company doesn't even get to chose
when their name is mentioned on WP. They are noticed
whenever we happen to decide to have a fundraiser.
Advertising is much more coordinated than this and is
not just a mention on one group of websites. If you
believe we should not have matching donors (or only
silent ones) this is another issue. But we need to be
on the same page as to what qualifies as an
advertisement. I do not believe this does.
