Hoi,
It is the technology that determines that this policy cannot be 
continued after the start of single login. This has nothing to do with 
convincing, the decision to have single login has been made. It is just 
one of its obvious consequences.

I am not really involved in the en.wikipedia and I certainly do not feel 
a need to be the messenger of this "good" news.
