Please forgive me for losing my cool before.

Let me try to spell this out in different terms
because people are not getting:

Someone may be worried about how their posts will be
recieved

Someone may feel intimidated.

Someone may worry female-specific concerns are
dismissed without being given serious consideration.

Someone may feel unwelcome.

It is inappropriate to respond to these ideas by
saying she should changes her feelings or lessen her
concerns and grow a thicker skin.

Any women who are posting here have learned how to
handle these sorts of response long ago. The question
here is this: Do we wish Wikimedia to include the
women who are not currently participating? Because
these inapppropriate responses have and will continue
to drive off women who have not learned how to handle
this. These inappropriate responses lead the women
who do remain here to self-censor and minmize coming
across as female. I am participating here and that
will not change. The question is if you guys want my
sister to participate in Wikimedia, or if you remain
happy with significantly more men than women
contributing to the projects. Because as long as you
guys continue to believe such responses are
appropriate rather than inappropriate nothing will
really happen except I may occasionaly get pissed off.
