I didn't view it that way. I viewed it that in an astonishingly short 
time, in spite of strong supportive statements from a number of men, the 
list was removed due to pressure from men who either did not see the 
problem, or did not see (and would not keep an open mind to the idea) 
that this proposed solution could be beneficial. You may have been the 
agent, but you were not the precipitor.

Speaking only for myself, until the thread on en, I didn't think there 
was a terribly serious problem - my eyes are opened now. I joined the 
foundation list specifically to address this issue here. While I share 
your concern about budgets, it is clear this is a powerful and divisive 
issue and perhaps that attracts more attention than a crucial, yet 
uncontroversial, issue.
