I think the rationale is that this is what we have. Our process from
the start was the mailing list advised Mr. Wales who decided as he
pleased. Given a stacked Board, a case can be made that this is
effectively still the Wikimedia Foundation process. Obviously it will
become the standard process indefinitely if the Foundation is made
memberless. If membership has priveleges and responsibilities,
obviously nonmembers have none. We remain a mob shouting at the
God-King (or his employees) for attention and in his wisdom he does as
he pleases or sees fit.
